A tavern is more than just a bar — and in 1997, this establishment set out to build something that would be THE definition of what a tavern is all about. Hence, the no bullocks name: Tavern. There was no concept. No theme. No flash-in-the-pan trends. But as Denver grew, it was starting to be outshined by overly trendy offerings. Our Objective: Remind people that when they tire of the glitz and glam, their favorite bar is right in the neighborhood and it’s got just what the doctor ordered.

The Only Bar You Need

By building a distinct personality that attracts the right audience — and is just fine turning off everyone else — we demonstrated Tavern is the place to let off steam and be yourself. A place for those who are rarely wowed by nightclub shellac, but are perked up by the promise of getting caught up with friends and neighbors over a cold one and some grub made with integrity from scratch.
